Geraldine Emma Crawford, 89, of Melbourne, FL died Monday, 9/23. A native of Tonawanda, New York, she came to the Melbourne area in the early 1970's from Rochester, New York. During the WW II era she was one of the "Rosie the Riveters" in a Buffalo airplane factory. During her life-time she owned and operated both a restaurant and taxi service. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and knitting. An avid doll and angel collector, she was also a certified doll doctor. She was known in the neighborhood for baking and distributing fruit cakes every Christmas.
Geraldine is the widow of Clarence (Boscoe) Crawford and is survived by a brother, Leonard Hartman; sister, Ruth Brock; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, 10/1 at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM in the Fountainhead Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Fountainhead Memorial Park, Palm Bay.
