Hailee Nicole Wheeler, age 31, passed away on July 22, 2026, in West Melbourne, Florida.Born on May 17, 1995, in Las Vegas, Nevada, Hailee will be remembered with deep respect and enduring love by all who knew her.
Those closest to Hailee knew a woman whose compassion was steady and sincere—someone who cared for people in a way that was both gentle and selfless. Her kindness was not performative; it was lived, offered freely and generously, and felt most by her friends and family, as well as Bill Buckholds, her boss and her good friend. Through her challenges, Hailee showed resilience and quiet bravery, inspiring others by the simple, powerful example of continuing forward with grace.
Hailee’s warmth was unmistakable—often arriving first in her laugh and biggest friendly smile lingering in the brightness of her big green eyes. She carried an adventurous spirit that found joy in the beach, ocean and the Indian river - in kayaking, sunbathing and in the small treasures of the shore—sea shells and turtles among them. She delighted in the color pink, loved sunflowers, and had a special fondness for perfumes, summer dresses, sandals, and sunglasses—details that reflected her light, sunny way of moving through the world.
Hailee’s love for animals was also a tender part of her life, especially the bond she shared with her dog Macie , as well as Luna, Cocoa, Bear, Sassy, Oakley, and Diamond.
Hailee is reunited in heaven with her son Mekai and daughter Alyia. She is survived by her Mother Carla Maillet and "Daddy" Mike, Father Christopher Wheeler and Step-Mother Christine, brothers C.J. Long and wife Jessica, Clifton Wheeler and wife Daniela, and brother Ash Wheeler. Step-siblings Danielle Maillet and Kyle Maillet, Fiancé Justin Bye, grandparents Joyce and Glen Glommen, Bill Page and Jen and Chuck Wheeler.
