Harvey Alfred Miller
January 16, 2020
My wife Susie and I extend our condolences, sympathy and gratitude to Alfred's wife Donna for her loving care of my brother during this time. We also extend our sympathy to his children who have lost their father.
My name is Dewey Miller and Harvey Alfred Miller was my Big Brother. As I write this I am remembering a picture from long ago. It is Alfred on his brand new Western Flyer bike, which he bought with money from his paper route. He is in full Boy Scout uniform talking to Uncle Alf from whom Al got his middle name. And looking around Alfred's right leg was me. I was looking up at him which is something I have done for my entire life.
During his life Alfred accomplished many of his dreams, a PHD, a college professorship, a highly respected botanist, an author, a volunteer with the astronaut scholarship program and especially a proud father.
These are all great accomplishments; however, to me being a great big brother will be my treasured memory.
Love you Al, Dewey
