

Hazel’s life was a testament to unwavering faith, quiet strength, and steadfast devotion to God. After losing her mother at the tender age of five, she carried forward with a spirit of resilience, humility and grace that would define her life. At 18, she moved to Kingston to live with her older brother Victor, who owned a printing company. It was there she met Glenn, a young mechanic whose presence in her life would become part of God’s greater plan. Hazel later migrated to Canada in search of opportunity, while Glenn remained devoted continuing to stay connected and wrote heartfelt letters of devotion. Hazel married the love of her life on November 3, 1951, as Glenn followed her to Canada.
Hazel and Glenn eventually settled in New York where they raised their five children. As a devoted wife and mother, Hazel lived her faith daily-through sacrifice, service, kindness and unconditional love. Her home was a place of refuge, where family and friends from Jamaica, who were always welcomed with a spirit of generosity and warm meals.
Hazel’s love of God and Christian faith in the Seventh Day Adventist Church led to her baptism in Ephesus Church in New York City. Hazel and Glenn moved to their family home in Queens, New York and became members of the Linden SDA Church. There is where they both served and supported for over 25 years. She was a home and school leader, church clerk, and deaconess. When Hazel and Glenn retired, they moved to Florida becoming founding members of the South Brevard Seventh Day Adventist Church in Palm Bay.
Her spirit of service extended into her work as a Certified Nursing Assistant caring for the elderly with compassion, patience, and dignity. After retiring to Palm Bay, Hazel found joy in gardening, caring for her trees and flowers and enjoying the fruits of what she grew. In Glenn’s later years, after a debilitating stroke, she cared for him with deep compassion and a faithful presence expressed in her acts of love and steadfast responsibility.
Hazel’s greatest blessings were her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, whom she cherished deeply and spoke about often with pride. She found happiness with patiently completing word find puzzles and traveling adventures. Many family holidays and gatherings were celebrated in her home, and her cooking reflected her love and care for others. Hazel carried a gentle spirit and a warm sense of humor that brought comfort and light to those around her.
Hazel Pearl Hall leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and service. She is survived by her children and their spouses; Sonia (Kirk), Dennis (Debra), Tony (Barbara), Cecelia (Joseph), Trudy (Maurice). Her grandchildren: Ainsley, Ashley, Justin, Lauren, Monique, Tiffany, Danielle, Candice, and Sevyn. Along with her Sister Vie, 14 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Hazel Pearl Hall will be remembered with deep respect and gratitude-for her faith, generosity, humor, patience, and gentle way she gave of herself. She lived a life of grace, always reflecting the peace that comes from a close walk and serving God.
