Herman C. White, age 66, of Memphis Tennessee, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday May 10, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. Herman was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee to Richard and Ozzie Mae White. Herman enlisted in the USAF in 1969 as an AC-130 Gunship crew chief. A veteran of both Vietnam, and Operation Desert Storm, he served faithfully and proudly with Air Force Special Operations where his actions directly contributed to the saving of many allied lives. After retiring from active duty in 1991, Herman moved to Florida with his wife Diane where he worked as groundskeeper for the Patrick AFB golf course until he retired in January 2013. Herman is survived by his wife Diane, four children: Leland, Darren, Martin, and Mark. He also leaves behind six grandchildren: Dean, Estelle, Kayleigh, Marty, Stephanie, and Michelle; and a great grandson: Isaac. He is also survived by his brother Lonnie, and sister Jackie, as well as his many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 20, 2013 at 10:00a.m. at the South Patrick chapel, 854 Harrier Ave, Satellite Beach. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. that afternoon at Florida National Cemetery 6502 SW 102nd Avenue Bushnell, FL 33513, with full military honors.
