Irvin Larsen Skov, 76, passed away on September 13, 2019 at his residence in Palm Bay, Florida. He was surrounded by family. He was the proud husband of Rosemary. They shared 53 years of marriage together.
Born in Tacoma, Washington, Irvin was the son of Larsen and Cecilia Skov. He graduated from Tenino
High School, and went on to receive his Bachelors Degree from Wayland Baptist University. He spent 26 ½ years as an Engineering Specialist in the Air Force, and was later employed by Harris Corporation upon his relocation to Florida in 1989.
Irvin was a lifetime member of the VFW. He enjoyed fishing and making his own fishing poles. He was a lover of all genres of music, an avid golfer, and enjoyed crossword puzzles. Irvin loved having fun and travelling. He enjoyed cruises and road trips alike. Though he was a loving, laid back man with a great sense of humor, he had a strong presence, earning him the title of a "Mild-Mannered Superman." He didn't say much, but when he did, he got your attention.
Irvin is survived by his wife, Rosemary Skov; their children, Julie Skov and Russell Skov (Virginia); grandson, Peter Stephens (Desiree), great-grandson, James Stephens; and sister, Lavonne Mclnturff.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 18th, 2019 at 11:00 am at Fountainhead Funeral Home, 7359 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, Florida with interment at Fountainhead Memorial Park. The visitation will be held from 10:00 am to the time of the service.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Health First Hospice.
