A proud veteran he served in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he built a distinguished career in advertising with the Courier Post newspaper in New Jersey, where he was respected for his dedication, professionalism, and many years of service.
After retiring, he relocated to Melbourne, Florida where he enjoyed his later years.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Sheppard, his sister, Nancy Cunningham, his brother, John Sheppard, his nephew Jimmie Sheppard and his sister-in-law Darlene Sheppard.
He will be lovingly remembered by his niece, Jackie Greene and her husband, Jim; his nephew, Chris Sheppard and his wife Debbie; his grandnieces, Maya Greene, Hannah Greene and Emily Sheppard; and his grandnephews, Jaxson Sheppard and William Sheppard.
He lived a full and meaningful life and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Committal and Military Honors will be held at Fountainhead Memorial Park, 7303 Babcock St SE, Palm Bay, FL 32909, US, on August 8, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.
