Janice was born in London, England and immigrated to America at the age of 5 with her parents. She grew up in upstate New York and planted roots in Palm Bay, Fl in 1980. She spent the last 44 years building an amazing life with her family, her faith, and her community. She worked full time her whole life, while raising three children, getting a bachelors, masters, and finally her Jurist Doctorate at the age of 55.
She lived her life modestly, but loudly. She was the life of the party, and the light in every room. She was generous to the poor, to the people around her, and she would give away her last penny if someone needed it. She lived a life committed to her Catholic faith. She was a loyal friend, and the most reliable person you would ever meet.
She had an infectious laugh while always enjoying every moment in life. She loved the theater, musicals, a great meal, cruising, looking at the water, sharing stories around the table, and cheersing over a cocktail.
She is survived by the love of her life, Robert W. Scott. They were just shy of their 58th wedding anniversary, and their love was one that fairytales are made of! She loved her three children John Michael, Matthew Thomas (Jennifer), and Mary Elizabeth (Jason). And she adored her three granddaughters Alexandra Marie, Delaney Sylvia, and Sylvia Grace.
Faith and fun were the guiding principles of her life. We can only picture her on Heaven’s Lido Deck, singing Jimmy Buffet or Harry Chapin as loud as she can, with a margarita in one hand and welcoming everyone to her party with the other!
Janice left this world surrounded by her husband, three children, grandchildren and spouses.
Family and friends will be received at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church (St. Joseph's is unfortunately under renovations). Viewing will be at noon, Friday, August 16, 2024. Followed by Catholic mass at 1pm, and final resting place at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery.
