Joan Mary Hegedus was born November 11, 1935 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson, NJ to Jacob and Mary Bauer (deceased). Joan attended grade school in Randolph, NJ and high school in Roxbury NJ. She has two surviving children, Donna and Brenda; their father, Joseph Hegedus; and her grandson, Sam Welch. Her son Glen is deceased, as is Joan’s second husband, Peter P. Staniskis. Joan retired from Picatinny Arsenal in Dover, NJ after 20 years of service. She relocated to Sebastian, FL and then Chesapeake, VA.
The viewing will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 19 at Fountainhead Funeral Home, Palm Bay. Paul Cushman will perform the eulogy at 11:00 AM, which will then be followed by the mausoleum entombment at Fountainhead Memorial Park. Refreshments will be served.
