He moved to Eau Gallie, FL in 1958 with his family and had a great childhood here on the river, the beaches and in the swamps. He graduated from Eau Gallie High School in 1971. He worked for and retired from AT&T after 38 years as a lineman. He was a jack of all trades; he never met a stranger and loved to feed people his BBQ.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Rebecca Woolley Cox, his mother, Melba Sirois and stepfather, Louis Sirois. He is survived by his children: Jason (Jennie) Cox and Elisabeth Hammock, and his grandchildren: Atticus Hammock, Audrey Hammock, and Jacob Cox. He is also survived by his brother Jack (Susan) Cox and Lavon Hall, stepsister Gail (Glen) Craig, brother-in-law Buddy (Patti) Woolley, sister-in-law: Mary Elwell, Carla (David) Bradford and many nieces, his nephew and many treasured friends and other family.
