Joseph J. Fries

Celebrating the life of Joseph James Fries (January 29, 1928 – August 11, 2015) Joseph James Fries departed this life for his eternal rest Tuesday, August 11, 2015 in the presence of his loving family. Joseph was born in Poughkeepsie, NY to the parents of Joseph and Alice Fries. After he finished high school he immediately joined the United State Air Force. After his military career he began working as a Utility Engineer for Central Hudson Electric in which he later retired in 1988. Joseph and his family eventually moved to Palm Bay, FL in 1993.Joe was a member of the Knights of Columbus for 40 years, Chairman of the Water Board in Wappingers Falls, NY and on the Water Board in Palm Bay, FL and also Chairman of Holiday Park, Palm Bay, FL.

Joseph enjoyed traveling, boating, fishing, golfing, watching football and spending quality time with his family and friends.

Joseph leaves to mourn his loving wife of sixty four years Alvina Fries, two sons Kerry and his wife Teresa of Melbourne, FL; Christopher and his wife Lisa of Vancouver, WA; one daughter Kayne and her husband Stephen Tedone of Conway, S.C.; one brother Richard Fries and his wife Rosemary of Alachua, FL; six grandchildren Brandy Fries, Selena Burgess, Nicole Tedone, Gregory Tedone , leah Fries, and Evangeline Fries; one great grandchild Charles Burgess.
