He was born on August 3rd, 1936 in Canovanas, Puerto Rico, son of the late Valentina Carrasquillo and Emilio Guadalupe.
He moved to NYC in the early 1950’s where he worked as a union foreman in the garment industry for over 40 years. He semi-retired in 1999 at which time he moved to Florida. A true family man, he was always known as a caring, hardworking, and responsible individual who helped family and friends whenever possible. Besides family, he loved watching NY Mets baseball, listening to his collection of old latin music, and working in the yard. His smile, laugh, and outgoing personality brought joy to family and friends alike.
Beloved husband, father, son, and friend, he is survived by: his wife of 36 years, Mercedes Guadalupe; daughters Irma, Miriam, and sons Jeffrey, Michael, and Malvin; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild, and 6 siblings, along with several nieces and nephews.
