June Aunt June B Kragh Oetzel

“AUNT JUNE”

June Kragh Oetzel passed away peacefully January 15, 2014 at Indian River Estates in Vero Beach. June Kragh was born in Detroit, Michigan June 28, 1917. She lived in Ferndale, Michigan where she graduated from Ferndale High School.

June was employed at Fisher Body in Warren, Michigan as a graphic engineer from 1947 until she retired in 1975. In 1978 June moved to Vero Beach, Florida where she lived until she married Fred Oetzel in 1982. The couple lived in Sebastian, FL until 1986 when they moved into the newly built Indian River Estates in Vero Beach. Fred predeceased June in 1995.

June was very active in the Audubon Society. June and Fred were an important part in getting legislation in place to protect senior citizens from unrestricted price increases in their housing costs.

June enjoyed traveling and a good game of cards. Many a day was spent playing Skip-Bo and Bridge with the other residents of Indian River Estates.

June is survived by nieces Kathy Kragh and Penny A. Kragh and nephews Niels C. Kragh and Bruce A. Kragh. Great nieces and nephew, Kristina Cleveland, Laura Kragh and Robb Kragh. June was and intelligent, caring women and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
