In Loving Memory of Katalin Biro
With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we celebrate the life of Katalin Biro, who passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026, at the age of 98.
Katalin was born on a farm in Bocsa, Hungary, where she learned the values of hard work, perseverance, and family. As a young woman, she worked as a passenger train conductor, traveling throughout Europe and embracing the adventures that came with her profession. Her adventurous spirit and desire for a better life eventually led her to the United States, where she built a life filled with purpose, determination, and love.
Although Katalin made her home in America and enjoyed many happy years here, she never forgot her roots. She remained deeply connected to her family in Hungary and often returned to visit her parents, siblings, and loved ones. Her Hungarian heritage was a source of great pride, and she treasured the lifelong bonds she maintained with family and friends in her homeland.
Katalin was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Boeke; her second husband, Ladislau Biro; and her beloved daughter, Eva Rider.
She is survived by her son-in-law, Edward Rider of Newaygo, Michigan; her grandson, Daniel Rogers; and her two great-grandsons, Bryson and Landon, who brought her immeasurable joy and pride.
Katalin will be remembered for her strength, resilience, independence, and unwavering love for her family.
