Kathleen Ann Colozzo, age 66, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016. She was born on January 1, 1950 in Manhattan, New York to James and Kathryn (Buckley) Crimmins. She worked as an LPN for 26 years. Kathleen loved traveling and going out to eat with her family, playing computer games, and being a devoted memaw to her beloved grandchildren. She was a fighter who survived everything life threw at her. Her husband Donald sums up her personality simply as, “My wild Irish rose.” Donald and Kathleen’s love story started in 1975 when their eyes met across a popular local bar, and lasted for 41 years. They were married on August 27, 1977 in the New Life Community Church, in West Sayville, New York.
Kathleen is survived by Donald, her loving husband, and their three daughters: Maureen A. Voorhees and her husband, John, of Columbia, South Carolina; Denise Ward Crosby of Melbourne; Patricia A. Colozzo of Melbourne; Grandchildren Katie M. Ward of Melbourne; Abagail J. Voorhees and Johnathan M. Voorhees of South Carolina; and brother, James Crimmins of California. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother John Crimmins.
