Lee R. Zeligman

Lee was born in New York and grew up in Livermore, California, before moving to Florida in the 1970s. He married Gail in Miami, and together they built their life and raised their family in Palm Bay.

Lee was, above all else, a family man. He was funny, hardworking, and devoted to the people he loved. He worked for many years at Harris, but his most important job was always being a husband, father, and grandfather.

Lee was the proud dad of four daughters; Mandy, Rachael, Melissa, and Heather. When people would inevitably ask if, after four girls, he had wanted a son, Lee never hesitated. He would tell them that anything he could do with a son, he could do with his daughters. And he did.

He took his girls camping. He coached their soccer teams. He read to them. He encouraged them and supported them.

Lee loved sports, especially the Raiders, and he played soccer. He loved theme parks, doing 5Ks with his family, traveling, and watching ridiculous action movies.

His devotion to Gail was the foundation of their family. If the greatest thing a man can do for his children is love their mother, then Lee gave his daughters the greatest gift he could have given them.

Lee is survived by Gail, his wife of 48 years and the love of his life; his daughters Mandy, Rachael, Melissa, and Heather; his sons-in-law Jeremy Gerster, Jon Leebrick, and Miguel Cintron; and his grandchildren Olivia and Liam Gerster, Gershwin and Cohen Leebrick, and Elijah and Ezra Cintron. He is also survived by his siblings Jay, Howard, and Randy Zeligman, and Jennifer Crook.

He will be deeply missed, but the life he gave his family, and the example he set of what it means to love them, is a legacy he leaves behind.
