Lena Marzella

.Lena Marzella, 86, of Melbourne, Florida, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017. Lena was born in Bari, Italy and grew up in White Plains, New York. She was a graduate of White Plains High School. She moved to Florida in 1992 from Commack, New York.

Lena was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Palm Bay, Florida. She loved to cook, travel and play Bunco with her friends. Lena was also an avid reader.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Matthew Marzella who passed away on May 19, 2014.

Lena is survived by her sons Nicholas (wife, Catherine) Marzella of Potomac, Maryland, Vincent (wife, Joanne) Marzella of Valhalla, New York and Frank (wife, Susanna) Marzella of Olympia, Washington; daughter Loretta Marzella of Melbourne, Florida; 7 grandchildren Matthew, Daniel, Anthony, Alexander, Jonathan, Jacqueline, and Julia; 3 great granddaughters Megan, Allison and Emma.

Calling hours are 3:00PM-5:00PM Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Fountainhead Funeral Home, 7359 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, Florida 32909. A Funeral Mass will be held for Lena at 10:00AM Monday, January 16, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church 5310 Babcock Street NE Palm Bay, Florida 32905.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
