Loach W. Schwendeman

SCHWENDEMAN, Loach age 97, of Barefoot Bay, Florida, entered into Heaven's Gates on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 while at the Quaker Heights Nursing Home in Waynesville, Ohio. Loach was welcomed home by her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, along with many family members and friends who were there celebrating her arrival. Loach was born May 16, 1920 to Fred and Zelle (Claxton) Windham in Kite, Georgia. Loach worked for many years at the Pruitt Realty in Melbourne, Florida until she retired in 2005. She also worked as a Bank Teller in Memphis, Tennessee before moving to Florida in 1974 . Loach was a member of the River of Life Fellowship Church in Barefoot Bay. She is survived by her two sons, Fred (Sandy) Brown of Waynesville, Ohio, and Terry (Joan) Brown of Ripley, Tennessee; grandchildren, Janell (Rob) Duley, Michelle (Mike) Jinnette, Jill (Ben) Hodges, Melanie Brown and 2 step grandchildren Alesia (Gene) Hise and Jeff Cox; 13 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Don (Anne) Windham of Washington, Fred (Odell) Windham of Georgia; sister, Imogene Ball of New Mexico; and numerous nieces and nephews. Loach also had many cherished and close family and friends including Buddy Lee, Clarence Spencer, Judy England, Shirley Gregg and Tina Noponen. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 34 years, Frank Schwendeman; sisters, Bonita Colston and Mary Ford; her first husband, and father of their two sons, Oscar "Jack" Brown. Loach was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, and she will be missed by many who loved her. She enjoyed talking about her cat, Tuffy; all the places where she had traveled on vacations; and her childhood and family memories. Visitation will be held Friday, January 12, 2018 from 11:00am-1:00pm at Fountainhead Funeral Home, 7359 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, Florida 32909. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Derek Harkins officiating. Interment will be at the Fountainhead Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the River of Life Fellowship Church, 625 Barefoot Blvd, Barefoot Bay, FL 32976.
