

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard D. Atkinson, son, Jay J. Atkinson, and brother, Carl Gailey.
She is survived by her children, Daniel H. Atkinson (Jean), Cynthia I. Oleniacz (Thomas), John R. Atkinson, and James T. Atkinson (Theresa), and daughter-in-law, Tracy Atkinson. Also surviving are her sisters, Esther and Regina, and her brother, Jerome.
Her eight grandchildren: Daniel and Michael Atkinson, Philip and Christopher Oleniacz, Jason, Nicole and Amanda (Wright), Jamie Lee Atkinson. And nine great-grandchildren: Mark, Zachery, Kyle, Tessa, Hailey, Christopher, Canaan, Ty, and Jack.
Rennie was born in Noxen, Wyoming County, PA on May 29, 1933 to Herbert and Mildred (Wright) Gailey. Upon graduating high school, she moved to Johnson City, NY, finding employment in a candy factory through her uncle. She lived in a boarding house with two other young women, and met Richard (Dick), as he also boarded in the same Victorian home, only on different floors! Upon marriage, they moved to the Montrose, PA area where they raised their family. Their next move as a couple, was to Florida, finally settling at Palm Bay Estates Mobile Park, enjoying the community and activities. There they made many dear friends, who became like family.
She became a member of the Red Hat Society for a number of years, enjoying their activities, and trips.
Her hands were always busy as she did hand crafts, crocheted, read, played board and card games, and put puzzles together. She left a puzzle legacy at Life Care with the help of other residents and visitors.
A burial service will be held at the Lawsville Cemetery, Montrose, PA, where she will be buried beside her husband.
