

She is survived by her son James, his wife Carol, and grand-daughter Hayley. She was preceded in death by her husband George in 2000. Brother-in-law Donald (Allie) Post of Cape Cod, MA., Sister-in-law Betty (Ed) Johnson of Woodbridge, VA., Brother-in-law Bobby (Anna Lee) Post, Warrenton, VA., Sister-in-law Rosemary (Dan) Barton, Melbourne, Fl. Many special nieces and nephews including Jennifer Helin, Melbourne, Fl. and Melanie (Jim) Gauss.
Mrs. Post, the former Margret Simmons, was born on Staten Island, N.Y. and lived there until 1973.
During those years she worked for Chase Bank, the New York City Building Department and the Housing Department. From 1973 to 1979 she and her husband George resided in Crofton, Md. While George worked for the Brady Company, she worked for the Maryland Highway Department.
In 1979 she and George relocated to Florida, enjoying condo homes in Boca Raton and Melbourne Beach. Mrs. Post was a member and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit1369 on Staten Island, and charter member of the NYC Ladies of Charity. Throughout her life she actively participated and supported many church groups.
She enjoyed traveling, highlighted by crossing America in 1960 aboard the California Zephyr, and in 1965 crossing the Atlantic on the Cunard Line's Queen Elizabeth.
No calling hours. A memorial mass will be offered at Immaculate Conception Church, Melbourne Beach at 10:00 AM on February 20th. She and George will be laid to rest at Saint Peters Cemetery on Staten Island, NY at a later date.
