Marie-Paule Madeleine Glavish died on December 22, 2014 at home, after a 5 year battle with cancer, joining her husband Robert who died in 2013. She was 84. She is survived by her brother Raoul Deschamps and sisters Gisele Sampson and Germaine Knight of Ottawa, Canada; her five children Richard Glavish of Melbourne, FL, Helene McHugh (Kevin) of Boston, MA, Suzanne Boyll (Michael) of Melbourne, FL, Daniel Glavish of Melbourne, FL, Robert Glavish (Michelle) of Palm Bay, FL; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Marie and her husband moved from Canada to Melbourne, Florida in 1956 where they raised a family, owned a business, and ultimately retired. She was a dedicated wife and mother who gave of herself unselfishly for the benefit of her family. She continued this commitment until she was no longer able to do so. Her life was characterized by hard work, sacrifice, understanding, commitment, love, forgiveness, perseverance, a sense of humor, and an overall attitude that “life is good“ even when facing hardships. She will be deeply missed.
