She was born in Atlanta Georgia and lived in Vero Beach for 23 years before coming to Melbourne 25 years ago. She and her husband, Alvin, owned and operated J&L Auto Parts in Tucker Georgia before coming to Florida and opening J&L Auto Paints in Vero Beach.
Marilyn is survived by her nephew, Stephen Thompson, of Atlanta. Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Lovett.
A private family ceremony will be held.
