Please honor Marion's desire to not wear black; her belief was to celebrate life, not mourn death.
Marion was born in Goodhue County, Minnesota to John and Mildred Schultz on February 2, 1929. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend. Her faith in Jesus Christ was unwavering, giving this transition a peace which surpasses all understanding. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School for all ages over the past 50+ years. She taught her loved ones that a relationship with God was most important and that family makes the difference.
Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Rice, her parents, John and Mildred Schultz, and her brother Burton Schultz.
Marion is survived by her sister, Lois Schultz of Minneapolis, MN, daughter Anne Rice Trelstad with Dave Bitler, son John Nathaniel and Johanna Rice, Deborah and Fred Koegler, Tinsley and Nancy Stetson, seven grandchildren: Christopher Rice, Steven Trelstad, Samantha Rice, John Trelstad, Fred Koegler Jr. (Christine), Lyle Koegler (Janelle), and Ginger Nowlin (Jeff), and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Peace Lutheran Church, 1801 Port Malabar Blvd. NE, Palm Bay, FL 32905. Condolences are received; however, your love and prayers are deeply appreciated.
The family wishes to extend its gratitude to her doctors, Palm Bay Kidney Center, Palm Bay Hospital and William Child's Hospice House for their support in her final days.
