Mary M Hilton

Mary M. Hilton (Gombos), peacefully departed this world on August 19, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and cherished memories. Born on July 21, 1944, in East Chicago, Indiana, Mary was the daughter of Peter and Helen Gombos, who predeceased her. Mary spent her career working at Amoco Oil Whiting Refinery, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. A devout Christian, Mary dedicated countless hours in study and prayer, finding solace and strength in her faith. Mary's greatest joys were her family, especially her daughter Suzanne Riddle, and her two grandsons, Jacob and Riley Mertl. Her grandsons were the light of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Mary enjoyed reading books, walking the trails and watching Court TV, and investigative news shows. Mary is survived by her daughter Suzanne (Wayne) Riddle, her cherished grandchildren, Jacob and Riley Mertl, Caleb, Josh, Mickey, and Ian Riddle, and her siblings, Peter Gombos and Jan Woods (Gombos), and many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her sisters Kathleen Gombos, Virginia Gombos, and Susan “Susie” Mendez (Gombos). A service to celebrate Mary's life will be held on August 23, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Fountainhead Funeral Home, located at 7359 Babcock St SE, Palm Bay, FL 32909. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor Mary's memory and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.
