Surviving are her three sons: John, Steven, Thomas and daughter Kathleen. She also leaves seven grandchildren Eric, Matthew, Kristy, Kelli, Erin, Dominic, Anthony and five great grand children: Emma, Steve, Ryan, Dominic and Lauren. Mary was born in Chicago Illinois and graduated from Norwood Park High School. During WWII she worked as a riveter in an aircraft factory. She met her husband to be, Joseph Krakowski, through a blind date arranged by her cousin. The couple moved to Atlantic City NJ and then to Absecon NJ. They retired to Sebastian FL in 1982.
Mary's life was one of service; first to her younger sister Alma Jean and her husband and children then to her community as a volunteer (and president) in the local ambulance service, her church, the Humane Society and the American Legion and VFW auxillaries.
A woman of good heart and humor she will be missed by all whose lives she touched. In lieu of gifts and flowers of condolence she wishes that a donation be sent to either the VNA of Vero Beach or the Humane Society of Vero Beach.
