

Mary Emma Nappa, 84, of Palm Bay (Florida), passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023. She was the wife of the late Vincent John Nappa. Born August 28, 1938, in Flag Pond, Tennessee, Mary was the daughter of the late Jake Woodward and Minnie Ledford. She left home in 1957 after graduating high school to attend secretarial school in Nashville, Tennessee. She met her husband in 1958, when he was stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. They shared 62 years together.
Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who always sacrificed for her family. In over 26 years as a devoted Army wife, she developed a love for travelling and exploring different cultures and their foods, interests that she continued to cultivate on many cruises around the Caribbean later in life with her husband and family. She was known to friends and family members alike as an avid lover of plants and flowers of every sort.
Mary is survived by her daughter Sherry (Steward), her sons Vincent and Christopher, and their spouses; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one brother, one sister; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, parents, three brothers, three sisters, one nephew, and one niece.

A family visitation for Mary will be held Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Fountainhead Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 7359 Babcock St SE, Palm Bay, Florida 32909.
