Maureen L. McDonough, 76, passed away at her home in Palm Bay, Florida on Wednesday June 24th, 2026. She was born to Charles and Esther Way (Burke) on August 16th, 1949, in Chelsea, Massachusetts. She grew up in nearby Lynn, Massachusetts and she was a dedicated mother to her two sons Michael McDonough (1971-2021) and Daniel McDonough. She excelled at baking, specially making her mother's signature cookie "The Way Delight"
She is survived by her son Daniel McDonough (Alyson) and her sisters Charlene Sturgis, Donna Way, Alice Rosales, Sharon Chenet, Cathy Magner, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her oldest son Michael, her long-time partner Cornelius Shea, her sister Colleen Bazillian and her two brothers Mark Way and Thomas Way.
She wished to be cremated and have her ashes scattered along with her son Michael's, in a private ceremony. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
