Born march 6, 1942 went home to be with his Lord December 5, 2017 at the Williams Childs hospice house of Palm Bay. Michael was a devoted husband of 48 years to Marilyn A. Darnell whom preceded his death in November 2017
Michael is also preceded in death by his mother Helen Bodell, his stepdad Wayne Bodell, his father Walter Darnell and his sister Jean NIlsson.
Michael is survived by his sister Dorothy Rowe, his nephews Michael (Liz) Darnell, Major (Tammy) Rowe, Harold Rowe, Vernon Rowe, Heath Rowe and his niece Amber (Brad) Pieh and several great nieces and nephews. Micheal is also survived by nieces and nephews of his wife Marilyn.
Michael spent most of his life dedicated to his country. He was a retired Chief Master Sergeant of the United States Air Force. During his years of service he was in the Vietnam war he was stationed in many areas including Japan, Germany, Hawaii, California, Arizona, Guam, Labrador and others. After retirement Michael still served as a civilian employee at an Air Force Base in Texas. Mike and Marilyn moved to Melbourne Florida in 2004 to enjoy the rest of their years together.
Michael was a life member of the VFW post to 2406 of Charlotte, Michigan a member of the American Legion, National Humane Society, paralyzed veterans of America, Airman society and the St. Labre Indian school friend society.
Michael enjoyed mostly entertaining family and friends as well as hunting cooking and golfing.
