

Michael Norman Sabetsky, 79, passed away on January 11, 2026 in Melbourne, FL. Michael is survived by his son, Scott Sabetsky, of Rockledge, FL; grandson, Connor Sabetsky, of Rockledge, FL; sister Barbara Holtzberg of Las Vegas, NV; niece Robin Gardner of Grand Prairie, TX; as well as other relatives across the United States.
Michael was born in Brooklyn, NY to Ethel and Jack Sabetsky.
He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and went on to complete vocational training in X-ray Technology at Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn. He was drafted into the US Army in 1967 and served 2 years active duty with postings at Walter Reed Hospital and in Bangkok, Thailand.
His passion for welcoming home military veterans who served in Vietnam was widespread. He moved to Florida in 1973 and for nearly 30 years, held positions at various medical facilities in South Florida as a Nuclear Medicine and X-Ray Technologist.
Michael emphasized the importance of family throughout his lifetime and will be remembered by his family and friends as a person of insatiable generosity, always keen to care for the needs of others or give a gift to create a memory.
He was an avid photographer, amassing collections of pictures of nature, animals, airplanes, rockets, trains, and especially his family. He also relished time on the ocean deep sea fishing, as well as his collection of Lionel trains. He was a lover of animals, especially dogs. Even dogs that were not his own were often drawn to him because of the love they saw.
Michael was proudly Jewish and relished in sharing in and passing down family traditions of Judaism.
The funeral service/memorial service/graveside service will be held on January 20, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Fountainhead Memorial Park, 7303 Babcock St. SE, Palm Bay FL 32909.
