Mildred Apsey Barrett, 92, died Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at her home. She was
born in Pittsfield, NY and came to Brevard County in 1961 from Orlando. Before retiring
she worked for Harris Communications as a Quality Control Inspector. She was an active
member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Palm Bay, She loved the poor and homeless
and volunteered for the South Brevard Sharing Center, and St. Joseph-St. Vincent DePaul
Society.
Mrs. Barrett is survived by her son Michael Barrett, her daughters Sheila Eschenberg,
Patty Lovvorn and Sharon Curry, her sister Minnie Apsey Beams, eleven grandchildren,
31 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her
husband John, her son Carl Snyder, and her siblings John Apsey and Lucy Kenyon.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2011 at St.
Joseph Catholic Church in Palm Bay. Burial will follow at Fountainhead Memorial Park.

St. Vincent DePaul society or a charity of your choice.
