

Raymond Hyatt, 94, passed away on Jan. 11, 2011 at William Childs Hospice House. He was born on May 14, 1916 in Baltimore, Maryland, son of Charles and Edna Hyatt. Widower of Sylvia, he is survived by his daughter Elaine (Sheldon) Levine, 3 granddaughters Susan (Dr. Keith) Kronemer, Karen (John) DeGuire, and Natalie (Frank) Kurz and 6 great-grandchildren, Jordan and Sabrina Kronemer, Gabriel and Lily DeGuire and Isaac and Rachel Kurz, all of St. Louis, Missouri, and his dear friend Dorothy Baar, of Indian Harbour Beach, Florida. Raymond was a veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific. He was a longtime member of Beach Masonic Lodge #354, Scottish Rite Valley of Orlando, Florida, a charter member of the Azan Temple Shrine, a member of the Azan Muftis and for many years a volunteer for Hospice of Health First of Melbourne.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 16 at 2:00 PM in the masoleum of Fountainhead Funeral Home, 7359 Babcock Street, Palm Bay, Florida. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Shriners Hospital for Children or Hospice of Health First, 1900 Dairy Rd., Melbourne, FL 32904.
