Robert Wayne Howell

Robert Wayne Howell, 76, died Tuesday December 20, 2011 at his home. Robert was born in Brighton, New York and came to Brevard County in 2001 from Jacksonville. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked as a truck driver for Ploof Truck Lines in Jacksonville. He loved driving his 18 wheeler and meeting people in other states. Robert was a member of Calvary Chapel on Minton Road. He loved to hunt and fish, he loved country music, western movies and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a loving and devoted husband to his wife Connie for 58 years.

Robert is survived by his wife Connie, his sons Michael of Jacksonville and Kevin of Melbourne, his daughters Laurie Powell and Debbie Rakes, both of Melbourne, his brothers Sidney of Orlando and John of Holly, NY, and his sisters Mae Miller of Hamlin, NY, Rita Mosher of Phoenix, AZ, and Bonnie Howell of Hilton, NY. Robert is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Fountainhead Funeral Home in Palm Bay, and services will follow at 2p.m. Roberyt will be buried at Jacksonville National Cemetery on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 2:30 p.m.
