Ronald H. Holzermer, age 72, passed away peacefully with those who loved him most by his side on August 21, 2016 in Melbourne, FL. Ron, originally from Rochester, N.Y., is preceded in death by his wife Virginia (Ginny) who was the “love of his life”. Ron is survived by his daughter Megan A. Richie (son-in-law Jacob), cousins Ed Steuber, Gail Farmer, Carol Ann Gerber, and many others from near and far. Ron is a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from BellSouth after 19 years, plus 15 years with Rochester Telephone Corp. He has volunteered with many organizations including the Brighton Auxiliary Police in Brighton, N.Y. He was the Public Information Officer and Captain of both the Malabar Fire Dept. in Malabar, FL and the Albion Fire Dept., in Albion, N.Y. He was a C.O.P. with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and a VCOP with the Palm Bay Police Dept. Most recently, he volunteered with the Palm Bay Hospital Auxiliary. A memorial service will be held at Fountainhead Memorial on Friday, August 26, 2016 from 7pm-9pm.
