home comforted by his beloved family after a long battle with cancer.
Ron, aka 'Pop', was born on August 31, 1961 in Englewood, NJ to Ronald Young Sr. and Patricia Dee.
He was a long time resident of New Jersey where he graduated from Englewood High School and
enjoyed a career in management for the Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company. On May 18, 1996, Ronald
was married to his soul mate and partner in crime, Deborah K. Baillie of Bayville, NJ. Ron spent
several years with his wife traveling the world enjoying other cultures and their shared interests which
included scuba diving and exploring their fascination for exotic marine life.
In 2001, Ronald and his wife retired and settled in Brevard County, FL where he embarked on a new
chapter of his life. In 2003, he graduated from Keiser University with a degree in Graphic Arts, which
was a newly discovered talent and hobby. In 2004, he entered into the small business world with Palm
Bay Trucking, a local trucking company which Ron was the proud owner. Most importantly, Ron's
new life in Florida was kept light hearted and entertaining (to say the least) by enjoying Coronas and
having laughs with his good friends on Dinner Street in Palm Bay.
The last several years of Ronald's life was spent with his family, proudly being “Pop” to his grand kids,
Alyssa, Maya, Nicholas, Alaina and Garrett. He adored his time being “Pop” by reading stories,
coloring pictures, playing pretend , taking nature walks and fishing with the kids. Standing a towering
6'4 inches tall, the kids saw Pop as a gentle giant and a larger than life cartoon character that was
always at their disposal and an endless source of their happiness. Ronald is survived by his wife
Debbie, his two sons, Rocco and Peter Minichino of Palm Bay, Fl, and his daughter Gina Ciaburri of
Forked River, NJ. He will sorely be missed but always remembered.
A memorial service in his honor will be held on Saturday April 14, 2012 at 11:00 am at Fountainhead
Funeral Home in Palm Bay.
