Sandra M. Croot, 83, passed away on August 4th, 2018 in Vero Beach, Florida. She was the wife of Joseph Croot. They shared 48 years of marriage together.
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on December 29, 1934, she was the daughter of H. Bruce and Mildred Meixel. She graduated from Beaver College (now Arcadia University) with a bachelors degree.
Sandra and Joseph wed on July 15, 1972. They lived in Annapolis, Maryland for 31 years before moving to Florida in 2001. While in Annapolis, Sandra operated her own jewelry and fine crafts shop: Moon Shell Gallery. She ran her business for 15 years! Once settled in Florida, she became active in the community. She was a volunteer at the Vero Beach Museum of Art, a member of the Sebastian Sail & Power Squadron, and a member of the Treasure Coast Jazz Society. In her free time, she enjoyed crafting. A very skilled and talented individual, Sandra partook in copper enameling, needlepoint, painting, and making jewelry. She will definitely be remembered for her craftiness. She will also be remembered for her pleasant smile, and loving and caring personality.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph. She is predeceased by both of her parents.
