Sandra Hoagland

It is with great sadness that we share that on June 27, 2026, Sandra “Sandy” Hoagland passed away at the age of 85. Sandy was the epitome of unconditional love. She cared without hesitation, through trials and triumphs, and was known by all as the most incredible secret keeper.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Hazen Watts, and her sister Diane Unger. She married and devoted her life to raising her three surviving children, Jeffrey Scott Hoagland, Michael James Hoagland (Donna Hoagland), and Sharon Morgan Callahan. Her family was her greatest joy, and she poured her heart into them every day of her life.

She cherished her five grandchildren — Mitch Hoagland (Michelle), Avery Morgan (Kaitlyn), Hazen Hoagland (Hayden), Trevor Morgan (Breelyn), and Halle Davis (Logan) celebrating every milestone, cheering at every event, and loving each of them with her whole heart. Sandy adored her two great granddaughters, Harlyn and Everyn Morgan, and was joyfully anticipating meeting her newest great granddaughter, Essie Jane Morgan.

Sandy also loved and cared deeply for her niece and nephew, Vicki Unger and Tim Unger (Diane), who held a special place in her heart.

A pioneer of feminism without ever consciously claiming the title, Sandy built a long and successful career in the travel and tourism industry. She was a woman of remarkable strength, independence, and compassion — a model of what it means to lead with love and resilience while keeping her family her utmost priority.

Throughout her life, Sandy was surrounded by an enthusiastic circle of friends. Her faith, family, and friendships were her greatest loves, and she nurtured them with unwavering loyalty. Her love, acceptance, and generosity touched countless lives. She was a shining light in darkness and always found the silver lining in every storm cloud.

Sandy loved to travel, play cards, and lived life to its fullest. She never missed a halftime band show, football or baseball game, or cheer competition. Supporting her grandchildren was one of her greatest joys, and she showed up for them with pride and excitement every single time.

Her kindness, strength, and love shaped generations, and her legacy will never fade. Sandy will be remembered fondly by all who knew her and loved her.

According to Sandy's wishes, a private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
