Uncle Benny had a heart of gold and thinking of him always invokes fond memories for me and my family. For me, he was like a big brother. Especially, as a kid whenever I spent time at their house on Oxford Avenue. For me and my family it was the weekend spent in Wildwood, fishing, and boating.
No matter when we saw Uncle Benny, he always had a warm, welcoming smile that, no matter what was happening in his life, wrapped around you, and made you an important part of his family.
We will miss his smile and easy-going demeanor, his willingness to help whenever needed. Uncle Benny is again surrounded by his loved ones and hopefully he is at peace and is looking down on his family and smiling, as if saying “I love you all with all my heart and want you to know I am at peace in this Heavenly place”

One of my fondest memories in my life was the honor of attending and celebrating Ben’s graduation in 1983. At the time I was his son in law and had known him since 1973. He was a fine man, dedicated and loving Father and Grandfather with an impeccable work ethic. He was always kind and respectful to me. He’ll always have a special place in my heart. Rest In Peace Ben.

Met him for the first time at Bingo and was impressed with hearing he made the wooden holders for the cards. When I asked him about a 2 card stand, he brought it in the next week. My heart goes out to his wife, Thelma, and all the children that are in his life. God Bless all of you.
