I am a friend of Velma’s family. I got to meet Sharon a few times and loved her dearly. My favorite story of Sharon is the first time we met. I grew up on a dairy and always introduced  myself as a ‘dairy farmer, I pull t*ts for a living’. Well, I stopped doing that after meeting Sharon. I shook her hand and said, ‘I pull t*ts for a living. She looked me straight in the face and stuck out her chest and said can you milk these!!!’  I turned three shades of red!!  She was special. I am so sorry for your loss.

There are so many things we can say about our grandma, but we narrowed down a few of our favorite memories to share. When we were kids, we use to spend weekends with our grandma, she would always go out of her way to get our favorite dessert, orange creamsicles. She would lay out a towel in the back bedroom, because we were messy kids, and sit on the floor next to us while we ate our dessert and watched tv before bed. On special occasions, she would even let us have two orange creamiscles before bed, that was always the best. We still love orange creamsicles to this day. 
Every Christmas for as long as we can remember, Grandma spent it with us. The best part was her bringing our Christmas stockings. It was the running joke every year on what crazy things did she find to put in our stockings. From comically giant pens, soap filled with money, and our personal favorite, the money tree, where she took the time to individually twisty tie a bunch of one-dollar bills to a fake tree. Even this past Christmas, as adults, she brought us our Christmas stocking. The past three years we decided to return the favor and got her own Christmas stocking that we filled with fun things she liked. It was one of our favorite parts about Christmas. 
Our favorite memory of our grandma was how memorable she made our birthdays. Every year for as long as we could remember she would call us either on our home phone or cell phone and sing happy birthday to us in most uniquely pitched tone. When her birthday came around, we asked if she wanted us to sing to her the same way she does to us, but she just laughed and said bless your heart. We knew to look in the mailbox around our birthdays, even at college, for a handwritten birthday card. We are really going to miss how special she made our birthdays.

Aunt Sharon you were such an inspiration to all young adults to live life to the fullest. You were the rock for my grandma for the past 3.5 years and I know this will break her more than we know but I know you will still be with her always! Love youu 🤍

Conscientious - My story of our mom.  A Convenience store overpaid her by 12 cents.
A struggling mother with two kids that worked three jobs to support us.  She was still compassionate enough for the plight of others.  She made the trip back to the store to give back the money.  This shows her honesty, thoughtfulness, and overall kindness.  She always put others before herself.

I am biased, but our mom was a beautiful and amazing person and the world is a little less because she is gone.

Adventurous - roller coaster rider and world traveler

Helpful - I never needed anything because she was always there to help and provide.  I was so proud of her when I learned that she provided assistance to Meals on Wheels.

Independent - Restarted life and did whatever it took to do it on her own.  She was quick to always refuse help.  She was great at giving help but not as good at receiving.

Meticulous - mom's checkbook should be put in a museum. She always kept it updated and to the exact penny.  Her house was always clean and everything had a place.

Dependable - I could tell mom anything in confidence and know it stayed between us.

Encouraging - I don't have one memory of our mom filling me with doubt.  She was a great listener and always supportive.

Reliable - I could ask anything of our mom and never worried that I would have to remind her or ask again.  She was just going to be there for me.

Sociable - Our mom was the life of the party.  When we traveled my mom struck up a conversation with people of all walks of life.  Language barriers would not stop her from sharing an experience and leaving her mark on others.  The great smile, infectious laugh, and pure joy.  She just made everyone feel so loved and comfortable.

Fearless - Looking back and hearing about our mom's life.  I don't think the amount of hardships she faced could have been bearable and conquered had she not been so fearless and strong.

Ms Sharon was one of the most kind and caring neighbors that I know. After the many years that I’ve known her, she wasn’t just a neighbor, she was my grandma from another family. I remember coming home from elementary school and going to her house nearly everyday to talk about my day and to see how she was doing. She would always have something for me to eat and always kept sodas in the garage fridge for me. If there was anyone that I could go to for advice, food, or even just to talk to, it was Ms Sharon. Then Angel passed on and Zoey came along. I would walk across the backyard to go see how Ms Sharon was doing and if I could help her with anything, but there was Zoey waiting on me ready to play. We would let her into the backyard to play and I would let Zoey chase me around until eventually I got too tired and went inside for a Coke and some cookies that Ms Sharon had ready to go for whenever I came over. Every year on Christmas and on my birthday, she always had a present and a card for me on the kitchen table. I remember sitting on the back porch showing off my drones and nearly losing them lol. The porch was the one place that we sat down and talked weekly.
 I remember the days when I would stay over for 2-3 maybe even 4 hours and just talked and watch tv with her. On those days, I would eat dinner with her and then help clean up. There would always be left over food that she sent me home with to give to my family for dinner the next night. I love her with everything in my heart and I know she loved me with everything she had too. If I learned anything from her over all the time I had spent around her, it would be that no matter the situation or relationship you have with somebody, always love them and make sure that they are doing great. She lived a full life and even had a great vacation to the other side of the world. She is happy in Heaven with her old pal Angel. She has been and forever will be my buddy. I love you Ms Sharon, Love, Your Buddy Christian ❤️

I think of her as someone who knew how to enjoy life. She was always laughing about something and joking and having fun. 
In my minds eye, I will always see her smiling and laughing. She surely will make the heaven more fun.

This, I am writing, comes from a sad and broken heart. Sharon has been in my life from the day I was born. We have been through many good times and many sad times.
Sometimes it seems like a long time, at other times like now, it seems so short. She was always there when I needed her and I want to thank and praise God for all the years he allowed us to be together.
Over the last years we have many miles between us, but our love has never been apart. I thank God for her life and I will miss her. One day we will be together again.

My favorite memory of knowing Sharon from the dog park was talking about the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia.  My family lived there also for a short time. It is a special place. She talked fondly about her family and how she loved it there.  Sharon was so kind and always asked how my daughter was doing in college every time I saw her. I will miss our chats but I am very grateful I to have met such a special person. 

Sharon was a joy to work with at Space Coast Credit Union. We are sorry for your loss our prayers are with you.

Oh how much I, Rob,and Christian will miss you. What a joy you were! You always had a laugh to share with us, and you were always concerned about how we were doing.

You, especially, always wanted to know about how your “little buddy”, Christian was doing. You watched him grow up from a toddler to the 16 1/2 yr old young man of today. You were always there for him... to share jokes, lend a listening ear, give lots of good food and way too many cans of coke! 

Speaking of sharing food...you shared so much of your cooking & baking, with us! You didn’t seem to know how to cook for 1 person. You always complained that you made too much, and even after freezing some, we needed to help you eat it! We never minded, at all.

I am sharing some pics. I had to include the one of your huge waffles, and a slice of your banana bread. There is also a pic of you and Christian eating at your favorite Chinese restaurant. The all you can eat buffet, what else?
I think we tried most everything and then we complained because we were too stuffed! Another pic is of you, Zoey, and Zoey’s friend, Copper. One of our many backyard meetups. 

Lastly, I had to share a pic of the mango tree that you loved. My mangos for your cooking...the perfect trade. You, me and neighbor Brad...we sure did keep the fruits, vegetables, and baking tradeoffs, in rotation. I loved bringing my mangos & starfruit to you, and seeing the joy on your face! You could hardly wait to share them with Joe. I will gladly continue to share my fruit with your family, in your honor.

We will say goodbye, for now, until we meet again, in Heaven. We are so thankful that God placed us behind your house, and for all of our wonderful memories of you.

In this picture, my mother was my in-law, only for a couple of minutes. She found out about Doug and I that morning when she arrived at his house for a Sunday bunch date. We surprised her, I opened the door, she looked at me and started to shake and cry like a little girl, because her dream of us together was finally happening.
She was crying so bad that I had to ask if those tears were for happiness.

I chose this picture because that day we started our journey to becoming mother and daughter as she had predicted two years earlier when leaving in tears from my restaurant she said, "I feel like I am leaving a daughter in Italy."

She was unique, that's a fact!  I could say so many beautiful things about her, the most important is that she was a giving person, no matter what. She was smiles, laughs, jokes, fun, joy, and happiness. She had no complaints. She was life herself. It will be impossible to make peace with her absence, an empty space too big to fill.

This world, our lives, will never be the same.
Mom, i will be missing you every day.

Her inviting smile and laughter drew us in, we couldn’t help but smile and laugh with her. Those memories will be kept close. She is and will be missed.

The family are in my thoughts and prayers. I know Sharon through my sister, Anne Mae and have known her since I was a little girl. I will never forget the memories I have of her and that beautiful smile she had.  She was always laughing. She would brighten up a room with her presence.  She will be missed.

Yesterday we lost one of the sweetest and craziest members of our family, all the years of laughter and picking on each other will be missed so much, I can’t believe you are gone. Aunt Sharon came and stayed with mom when dad passed and has called her just about every day since, please pray for the family and especially her sons and grandkids and my mom to get through this difficult time. I love you Sharon Hock until I see you again keep them laughing up there!

We met the sweet Sharon through Skype, on the occasion of one of her birthdays and we joined in the chorus of greetings singing her ‘Happy birthday’.  Her eyes were sparkling and we thought she was moved.  In reality, when we met her in person, we discovered that the light in her eyes was natural because goodness of soul and love showed themself through the eyes.  Despite having spent only one evening with her, that meeting will remain forever in our hearts.
