Shirley was the youngest of her siblings Sybil, Dolores, Norman, and George. At an early age, Shirley migrated to England where she resided and worked as a bus conductor. Shirley later migrated to Canada and then to Queens, New York where she worked and spent most of her adult life.
On May 24, 1980, she married Hugh (Jack) Huntley Jackson. They had a loving relationship. In New York, she worked at North Shore Hospital (now Northwell) in various job titles mostly in the operating room. In 2007, Shirley retired and relocated to Palm Bay, Florida with her husband, Jack. Shirley was a hard-working, proud woman who enjoyed traveling especially on cruises. Shirley was devoted to her family and friends, especially her only son, Joseph a.k.a. Joe; nephews: Fitzroy Anglin and Douglas Jackson; nieces: Joan and Deanne; daughter-in-law, Marjorie; grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends: Peggy, Shielda, Gladys, Paulette, and Marlene; and many more.
We all will miss her dearly.
