Sylvia Rose Niece, 91, passed away on March 3, 2019 at Wuesthoff Hospice House in Rockledge, Florida. She was the widow of Edward C. Rose and James M. Niece.

Born in Barboursville, West Virginia, Sylvia was the daughter of Ned T. Beatty and Gracie Butterworth Beatty. Sylvia attended Barboursville High School. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Windsor Independent Church in Proctorville, Ohio. She enjoyed traveling and church. Sylvia will be remembered for always smiling and her kindheartedness

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda R. Banks; grandchildren: Susannah R. (David) Wentz, M. Corey (Malissa) Banks; and great grandchildren: Emily Wentz, Benjamin Wentz, Coralia M. Banks, Camden M. Banks, and Galan Cohn. Sylvia’s husband, Edward C. Rose and her son, Edward E. Rose preceded her in death.

A graveside service will be held at Fountainhead Memorial Park on March 8, 2019 at 12 p.m.
