Sylvia Patsy Shapiro, aged 92, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2024, in West Melbourne, Florida. Born on January 21, 1932, in Cleveland, Ohio, Sylvia was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose kindness and warmth touched the lives of all who knew her.Sylvia was the devoted wife of the late Lloyd Shapiro. Together, they built a loving family, raising three children: Laura Shapiro Zweig, Howie Shapiro (deceased), and Lenny Shapiro (deceased). Sue Vargo Shapiro (Deceased) She was a cherished grandmother to Alan Zweig and Jessica Shapiro (David Klein), and a proud great-grandmother to Connor and Mackenzie Forsythe.

Her compassionate spirit extended beyond her family. Sylvia was actively involved in United Order of True Sisters serving as Local and National President. She dedicated her time to cancer support community services, offering her time and energy to support those in need. Her dedication to helping others was a testament to her generous heart.

Sylvia was known for her beautiful knitting and sewing creations that she put much love and thought into. Her handmade creations were treasured by many, and she took great joy in creating beautiful pieces for her loved ones and friends.

Sylvia's life was defined by her love and care for others, her resilience, and her boundless energy. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.A memorial service will be held to honor Sylvia's life and legacy.
