It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Thelma C. Nicolo, who left this world on September 5, 2024, at the age of 88. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, whose love and kindness touched the lives of many.
Thelma was born on December 15, 1935, in Bridesburg, PA. She raised her family in Philadelphia, PA and Warminster, PA, and has called Sebastian, FL her home for over 25 years. Thlema dedicated her life to raising her six children: Patricia, Richard (Kathleen), Mario, Gregory (Diane), David (Karen), and Paul. Her strength and unwavering love guided them through life's challenges, instilling in them the values of compassion, resilience, and family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sebastian W. Nicolo (2020), and her cherished child, Mario J. Nicolo (2020). Together, Sebastian and Thelma created a nurturing home and a legacy of love that continues through their family.
As a grandmother (Nan) to 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, Thelma filled her home with warmth, laughter, and the smell of authentic home cooking. She was a constant source of support and encouragement, always ready with a comforting hug, words of wisdom, or a delicious hot meal. Her family, which also includes step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Thelma enjoyed bingo and was an avid card player, regularly gathering with family and friends for lively games. These gatherings, often going late into the night, were filled with laughter, friendly competition, and cherished memories, which she valued deeply and will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
Family and friends will be received at Fountainhead Funeral Home at 7359 Babcock St. SE, Palm Bay, FL 32909 on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, from 10-11 am, immediately followed by a Celebration of Life service where family and friends are invited to share their memories and honor Thelma’s legacy.
