

Theodore H. Schmitt, 96, of Melbourne died Thursday (7/11) at a William Childs Hospice House. A native of New York City, NY, he grew up and spent most of his life there. He was a veteran of WW II having served in the US Navy. He worked as a foreman in a New York warehouse prior to his retirement when he moved to Pennsylvania. He remained in Pennsylvania for 20 years before moving to Lakes of Melbourne in 2003. He was a member of the Warehouse Workers Union.
Preceded in death by a son: John, Theodore is survived by his wife of 66 years: Winifred; one son: William (Janet) of Melbourne; daughter: Nancy (Kevin) Feeney of Purcellville, VA; Daughter-in-Law: Donna Schmitt of New York City, NY; one sister: Dorothy Donadio of New Jersey; Sister-in-Law: Anna Lavin of Melbourne; five grandchildren: Logan, John, Michael, Cristen, Marielle; three great-grandchildren: Kayleb, Addison, Liam; in addition to many nieces and nephews throughout the United States.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 AM in the Fountainhead Funeral Chapel. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 10:00 AM until time of service. Entombment will follow in Fountainhead Memorial Park with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to:
