We will all miss you Uncle Teddy, but we know you lived a full life with your wonderful wife and loving family and we will all keep you in our hearts.

Uncle Teddy, you will be greatly missed! I vividly remember visiting you and Aunt Winnie and your dog Rainbow! Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. We love you!

Uncle Teddy, we will miss you! We have such great memories of all of your trips out to New Jersey and our trips to Pennsylvania

I always remember "Uncle" Teddy with fondness.  When our families were together there was a lot of laughter, spirited conversation,and not a small amount of chaos--how could it be otherwise with 8 kids--3 of yours and 5 of ours!  But, what I remember most is the twinkle in the eye, the constant smile, and a calmness--everything taken in stride.  Good lessons for a little girl to carry into adulthood.  Thanks for the lessons, Uncle Teddy.

Uncle Teddy you will be missed here on earth by so many, but will be greeted in heaven by your mother, father, brother, sisters, and of course your beloved son John.  As we let you go from this life here on earth with tears of sadness, it gives us comfort to know that you will be greeted with tears of joy. You were always the life of the party up in Glenham when the family was all together, sooooooo let the fun begin.

Papa Teddy,

I will miss you. Please tell my dad hi. I am sure he is happy to have you with him xo

I will always enjoy remembering learning to cut wood in Pennsylvania, and coming back to my papa's home after long summer days to play card games.

I will always hold fond memories of Papa.  He was a kind soul who knew the right approach to living.  He taught me to enjoy the small pleasures in life as well as not to stress about the small issues that pop up.  Sometimes you have to turn the volume down.

I was fortunate to have known him.  I was even more fortunate to have spent many childhood summers with him.  He was always up for watching sports, playing a game of cards, or fishing with me.   

I look at his passing with sadness and his life with joy. I am reminded of a passage from a fellow German Friedrich Schiller who wrote the poem Ode to Joy in which he writes:
"Whoever has had the great fortune
To be a friend's friend,
Whoever has won a devoted wife,
Join in our jubilation!
Indeed, whoever can call even one soul
His own on this earth!"

I believe in his life he accomplished all of those things and more.

We will miss you, Uncle Teddy. We enjoyed visiting you in NY,Poconos and Fl. It was great to hear you talk about "your Mets" and of course your dog, Rainbow. I am sure Johnny and Rainbow were waiting to greet you!

Citifield should dim its lights, because one of its most fervent Mets fans went to Shea Stadium in heaven.  Now he and John and my brother, Tommy, can help the Mets get some offense going from a front row seat near the Pearly Gates. Since I was a little girl in Queens, Uncle Teddy was always kind to me.  I always thought he was happy to see me.  He was a simple man, who loved his wife, his children, his grandchildren, his dog, Rainbow, and his Mets. Our sympathy to Winnie, Annamae, Bill, and Nancy.
