Virginia Onines

Beloved wife, mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend, Virginia Louise (Graham) Onines, 91, of W. Melbourne, FL, died Friday, January 6, 2023. A native of Chicago, IL, she came to the W. Melbourne area from Tucson, AZ in 2001. She was a very active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served the church in many capacities. Virginia retired from the Quaker Oats Company, where she received the 1976 President’s Award for her work in health awareness. She was a compassionate, strong, and caring woman who will be missed by her family and friends.

Virginia was preceded in death by her second husband, Richard H. Onines. She is survived by her children: Maureen (Peter) Tan of Champaign, IL; Michael Bresnahan of Lena, IL; Patrick (Tina) Bresnahan of Palm Bay, FL; Shawn Bresnahan of W. Melbourne, FL; Therese (Richard) Reid of Lena, IL; Thomas (Paula) Bresnahan of Cocoa, FL; Mary Bresnahan of Highland Park, IL; and Martin (Kelly) Bresnahan of Phoenix, OR, and her stepsons: Steven (Edith) Onines of Cotati, CA, and Patrick (Beth) Onines of Lake Zurich, IL. Virginia is also survived by 32 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, and her beloved kitty, Annie.
