William J. Hartnett, 87, of Indian River, passed away Friday, Nov. 25, 2011 in Vero Beach. He was born Feb 17, 1924 to Timothy and Caroline Hartnett. He was a long time resident of Weymouth, MA moving to Vero Beach in 1985. William married Madeline J. O’Meara Nov 15, 1942, she precedes him in death. William was a veteran of WWII serving in the Army Air Corps. He was very active in local organizations and loved to dance.
He will be sadly missed by his children; Timothy Hartnett, Weymouth, MA; Laurie Goddard, Stuart, FL; Will Hartnett, Vero Beach, FL; Mike Hartnett, Vero Beach, FL and Michelle Jarvis, Norridgewock, ME; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
