
Winston died at age 96 in Melbourne, FL; born in West Bridgewater, MA. He was preceded in death b his wife Mildred E. Chamberlain in 2002 after 61 years of marriage. He is survived by their three sons & wives, Donald & Janice Churchill in Sun City Center, FL, Richard & Linda in Peachtree City, GA, and William & Monica in Cape Coral, FL. He had 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and 1 due in February.
Winston served in the US Army 1943-1946 and was stationed in Europe in Heavy Artillary. He worked at New England Power Company in Worcester, Millbury, and Palmer, Massachusetts.
Winston was interested in his Genealogy and helped write supplement No. 10 updating “The Churchill Family in America” published in 1904. He gathered the information on the 8th, 9th, and 10th generation of his lineage from Eliezer Churchill who settled in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts.
He was active in church, Boy Scouts, Masonry, and Scottish Rite. He was an active bowler; Candlepin in New England and 10-pin in Florida. He was still playing Bocce and enjoyed playing cards and bingo. He has lived in A1A Condo Park in Melbourne the last 30 years where he enjoyed great friends and an active retired lifestyle.
