Yolanda was released to the Lord on September 19, 2011. Wife of Arnold Schofield (deceased) who retired from The Boy Scouts of America after 50 years of service; daughter of Joseph and Celia (Avallone) Fiorentino (deceased); sister if Chet Fiorentino (deceased) and Aunt to Marie Sullivan. Living cousins include Gloria Rustigian, Jean Stokowski, Camille Minichino; Arlene Polvinen and Nancy Ann Coyne.
Yolanda Fiorentino Schofield was a graphic artist who lived in Boston, MA, Verona, Italy, Germany, Geneva, NY and Palm Bay Florida. She specialized in pen and ink drawings of historic landmarks. Her work appears in area magazines and publications, museums and many of the provincial wineries that surround the Finger Lakes.
Yolanda was a member of the Strawbridge Art League of Melbourne and the Brevard Historical Society.
Yolanda was a student at the Boston Museum of fine Arts, a graduate of Boston University, a successful display artist and designer in Boston, Hartford, and New York City. She taught in The Massachusetts and New York school system.
The Finger Lakes region with its natural beauty, inspired a series of pen and ink drawings which have been a feature of the Finger Lake Times. Yolanda has exhibited at the Worcester Art Museum, the University of Massachusetts and is represented in private collections and institutions in New York State. She was commissioned to do the pen and ink history of the Erie Canal.
Yolanda moved into Buena Vida last year where she shared her art with many residents. She was very happy at Buena Vida and will be missed by many.
Services will be held at the Buena Vida Chapel, 2129 West New Haven Ave in West Melbourne, Florida on Friday September 23,2011 at 11a.m.
