Yukiko Long, age 92, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on March 1,2025. She was born in Fukuoka, Japan. She worked at Itazuke Air Force Base in Japan, where she met her husband Sgt. Charles Long.
Yukiko and her husband, moved to New Jersey preceding his retirement from the U.S Air Force. They then moved to Sebastian in 1992 to enjoy their retirement. She is survived by 2 sons, Mike (Arlene) and Charles T. and daughter, Mary (Mark) Mergott; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles of 50 years. Yukiko was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a beloved Bachan to all her grandchildren and she will be greatly missed.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Fountainhead Funeral Home, 7359 Babcock St SE, Palm Bay, FL 32909. A visitation gathering will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM with a Celebration of Life beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will take place after the service at Fountainhead Memorial Park.
