Sorry for your loss.  What a beautiful collection of memories of such an active person. You don't know me but my 2nd cousin Erik Russell notified me of the obituary. He has been trying to find you all to say hello. I played with Billie many times at family get togethers at "big Opas" house on Dodd Street in Weehawken.  Many holiday dinners and Sundays were spent in the carpenter's big opas and uncle Theo"s workshop. Big opa and big omie were my great grandparents. German... We were  about 12 years old and younger. I am Janet Margaret Neelen (66)( div name Znyski) Mildred and George Neelen's oldest daughter. My sister was Barbara  (passed) and my brother George.  I have a son named Alex. I'm sorry we missed speaking with Bill.

Dad to us Pap to ALL! And I mean literally ALL, from not only your grand babies but to our friends babies and kids to the workers and staff you worked with kids too that was just you, anyone could ask you your name and you'd say call me Pap! You just loved kids ALWAYS have! You had such a BIG heart and was willing to share that with everyone with out anything in return. I've watched you loose the most special person in your life and being there front hand with you everyday watching you over come battles I wish upon no one! You lost half of your life but then again stood tall and rebuilt everything over again from the ground up. That is what courage and strength is ALL about! Not only did I look up to you for guidance but you lead the way for all of us to be more like you, not just family either but all that came in your path of life. I have strong faith that your greatness will strive through and carry on everyday! (especially through the Publix life). It's going to be hell getting through this with out a doubt especially these holidays coming up which you loved and cherished so much. But you wouldn't want us to cry and be down or even angry, you would want us to live life as if you were here and laughing and joking, making new memories with our family and all the kids. Dad you'll be missed something fierce and there is no doubt in my mind that your not up in heaven town shining down on us daily. I love you today, I'll love you tomorrow may you rest in peace until we meet again, I Love You Dad!
