I was scrolling through my phone and came across Joyce's phone number ending with 7810. She was my client at Citi Smith Barney between 2002 and 2010.  She was very kind, spoke few words.  She seemed disinterested in money matters.  
I braced myself as I typed her name to search.  I came across this memorial. I wish her family the very best.  Peace be unto Ms Pineset. RIP.

I knew Joyce from my time working at the UCLA ER from 1983 to 1987.  Joyce was a tower of strength, and always there to help or with a laugh when things were quiet.  I saw her as one of the most competent, caring and strong people I knew.  I could easily see Joyce, along with Donna and Charlene who were two of her fellow RNs in the ER go through the equivalent of WWIII neck deep in chaos, step out for a moment perfectly calm, smoke a cigarette, then turn around, and go right back in for more.  It has been 35 years and I still hold Joyce up as a gold standard of a human being.  You will be missed Joyce.

It was a privilege to work with Joyce for many years.  First, at UCLA ER from 1986 until she retired and later at Gardena Memorial where I was delighted to find her gracing their ER.  With her wit, dedication and hard work, she was always an example of what a nurse should be.  We will always hold her in the highest regard and remember her with love.

I met Joyce at UCLA  in 1980 where we both worked in the ER.   
I found her to be a very dedicated nurse and friend. Even after we both retired we kept in touch and attended Bruiners lunches together until she moved to Palmdale.  I'll always remember Joyce for her wonderful sense of humor. Her death has deeply shocked her UCLA  ER family and we will always miss her beautiful smile and personality. Rest in peace Dear Friend.

So sorry to hear of our good UCLA ED LVN.   She was a treasure & fun to work with.  I remember her always showing off her sons high school grad pictures & then some. She was Always laughing & she brightened up a room. Have missed her at our Bruiners luncheons. My love & thoughts go to her family.

I am Kathe Cummings, Joyce was my buddy at work for many years. We kept those happy memories and funny experiences we shared by constantly laughing on the phone after retirement. 
For some reason I looked up Joyce name today.  I left a message on her house phone when UCLA was in the NCAA playoffs. Cuz she worked at UCLA and is a big fan. She did not return my call which is unusual.  
I am shocked and sorry for her family loss. 
I lost a true and loving friend. My prayers🙏
